Thurrock Gazette petition

1.49.48pm GMT Wed 15th Mar 2006

The Liberal Democrats has started a petition urging the Thurrock Gazette to deliver across the whole of Chafford Hundred. Currently many households do not receive the paper.

Chafford Hundred residents appreciate the value of information provided by the widely read and freely distributed Thurrock Gazette and are disappointed that this our local newspaper is not freely available and delivered to all the households on Chafford Hundred.

We strongly feel that it is very unfair for some residents to pay at Newsagents for their copies of the Gazette whilst most residents have theirs delivered to their households free of charge.

We believe that all households on Chafford Hundred must be offered this facility on equal terms.
