Our PetitionSummary of AimThurrock General Hospital Campaign Full Text of PetitionTo: Gordon Brown MP, Prime Minister Thurrock has been without a General Hospital for nearly 10 years. This means no accident and emergency or maternity provision. We have one of the highest rates of deaths from coronary failure between 65-74 year olds. We have a growing population of 143,000 people and not enough doctors. With plans to build nearly 20,000 new houses in the borough as well as the construction of the largest British port (London Port) in Corringham, Thurrock can no longer afford to be without a general hospital. We need action now! We the undersigned residents of Thurrock call on the Prime Minister to ensure that a General Hospital is built in Thurrock without delay.
